With 3 years of hands-on experience in mainframe development, I have built a strong foundation in analyzing, designing, developing, and supporting mainframe applications, particularly in the insurance domain.
Professional Experience
In my current role, I am actively involved in developing and maintaining robust mainframe solutions. Some of my key responsibilities include:
Analyzing requirements based on user stories provided by Business Analysts and preparing technical design documents.
Coding, testing, and participating in code review discussions to ensure quality deliverables.
Conducting internal walkthroughs for technical specifications and supporting production deployment activities.
Providing Level 3 technical support, conducting root cause analyses for recurring system issues, and collaborating with teams to implement permanent solutions.
I Have worked in 2 projects Annuities and retirements and second one is internal reinsurance & chase processing.

I am proficient in mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and tools like Expeditor, QMF, and Endeavor. Additionally, I have a working knowledge of modern tools like GitHub and PostgreSQL, ensuring I stay versatile and adaptable.

I have earned certifications such as the FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) and IBM's Mainframe Application Programmer Level I Certificate, which reflect my commitment to continuous learning. I was also honored with the Sapphire Award at DXC Technologies for independently managing critical applications and automating manual tasks using COBOL and JCL, reducing manual efforts significantly.
